Chromosome staining/banding/FISH
Ag-NOR staining showed more than one Ag-NOR-bearing chromosome pair, C-banding analyses showed conspicuous heterochromatic blocks in all chromosomes with a predominance of large pericentromeric C-bands. C-bands on chromosome pairs 3 and 21 appeared to represent good cytogenetic markers for this species.
